Abstract:
The main goal of the project is to increase the burning time of a hybrid propellant rocket motor up to 40 s by introducing a non-phenolic heat insulator. The following tasks were attended to in order to reach the main goal:
1)temperature distribution analysis in combustion chamber with a heat insulator,
2)experimental study of the insulating effectiveness of the heat insulator by oxyacetylene ablation testing and direct testing in a hybrid propellant test-motor.
